Meet the “Ball Thugs” a local flag football team from the Washington D.C. metropolitan area participating in the Mid East Sports 2012 Spring Flag Football league.  The Ball Thugs are probably one of the most organized and well talented team you will see in flag football competition in the metro area.  A diverse and skilled team; they exemplified the spirit of “National Athletics”; good sportsmanship in healthy competition.  Their outstanding performance in the championship series was worth mentioning and National Athletics looks forward to following this team during the summer league.  Well done "Ball Thugs"

March Madness! Those words call out to every college basketball fan across the nation. If your one of them the next few weeks signifies great basketball, spring break and the unofficial month long holiday during the NCAA tournament.  The only other holiday that compares to March Madness is the NFL playoffs and the Super Bowl.  For college basketball teams; entering the tournament is a rite of passage for 64 teams to earn the opportunity to advance to the sweet 16, elite 8 and the final four.  After three weeks of intense play, the two surviving teams play for the grand prize "The NCAA National Championship”

The Charles Flowers Jaguars moved pass the Bladensburg Mustangs in an impressive 27-6 win at Jaguar Stadium in Springdale on Saturday.  Flowers exploded in the first quarter when Running Backs Daquan Davis #28 and Carl Turner #6 combined for a pair of touchdowns to put the Jaguars ahead 13-0. The Jaguar defense held Bladensburg to less than 50 yards of total offense in the first quarter.  The Jaguars’ third touchdown at the top of the second quarter came when Jaguar Quarterback Roman Williams threw an 11 yard touchdown pass to Bentley Ukonu giving Flowers a 21 point lead.  With just 8 minutes left in the second quarter, a Flowers’ muffled punt is recovered by the Mustangs on the Jaguars 20 yard line.
