Meet the “Ball Thugs” a local flag football team from the Washington D.C. metropolitan area participating in the Mid East Sports 2012 Spring Flag Football league. The Ball Thugs are probably one of the most organized and well talented team you will see in flag football competition in the metro area. A diverse and skilled team; they exemplified the spirit of “National Athletics”; good sportsmanship in healthy competition. Their outstanding performance in the championship series was worth mentioning and National Athletics looks forward to following this team during the summer league. Well done "Ball Thugs"

T he first regular season flag football game between Lady Elite and Lady Outlawz took place at Deanwood Recreation Center under near-perfect football weather on Sunday. With a good capacity crowd on hand the former Ely League Champions Lady Elite, led by head coach Leonard Teamer and Defensive Coordinator Chris Jackson took the field against the Lady Outlawz. The Lady Outlawz, led by head coach Jovan Means are the new comers to the league. They represent some of the newest talents the Ely Flag Football League of Washington, DC has to offer.
